Social Activities

• Meaningful, interactive exposure is provided to students through programmes that sensitise them to the plight of the under privileged sections of society, the disabled and the sick.
• The school is associated with Y.T.T.S, a NGO working for the underprivileged children of the city. Our students contribute books, clothes and eatables from time to time.

Global Links (CISV)

The school is associated with CISV, a charitable independent, non-political, volunteer organization promoting peace education and cross-cultural friendship. CISV has its presence in 70 countries. Our students attend various programmes, run by CISV, that are known to be life-changing experiences, that are delivered at fortnightly to month long camps in different parts of the world.

• Roll of KROS

  The old students of the school organized a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with the Department of Transfusion Medicine P.G.I, Chandigarh.

  

• Community Engagement Program- Aikyam

  Aikyam – is a student led initiative of St Kabir Public School. While the entire nation was struggling with the anomalies of the pandemic and the lockdown, students of Grade 11 turned towards building a better community.

  It started as a small research project to understand the state of feminine hygiene which enthused the children to plan awareness and donation drives. In the Year 2021, two such initiatives were organized for SKPS’s helping staff in collaboration with Auromir NGO, Manimajra. Considering women and environmental hygiene, donations of were mobilized for sanitary napkins, cloth pads and pee safe cups (2000). These were distributed amongst a 100 ladies. Women were educated about the alarming environmental hazards of sanitary napkins and were encouraged to resort to alternate and more sustainable means such as cloth pads and pee safe cups.

• Another endeavour was to address the environmental concerns in our surroundings.

  The increasing amount of litter, especially at public places, excessive use of plastic, irresponsible use of natural resources, and deforestation, were some issues addressed during the discussions. A few students took up the responsibility of cleaning the vicinity of rock garden on the day after Diwali in Nov. 2021.
