Our dear colleague and friend Ms. Lily Nandy passed away after a protracted illness on 26th June, 2019.

Our Director & founder Principal Mr. J.P Singh and Mrs. Singh, the school Management, her colleagues, a large number of Alumni of St Kabir Public School and her friends attended her funeral and prayer service.

She is survived by her brother Wing Comdr. Ranjan Nandy and her sister-in-law Ms. Krishna Nandy , who looked after her with great care and affection till her last day.

Ms. Lily Nandy was an alumnus of the Punjab University having double- masters to her credit in Geography & Public Administration.

Her association with St Kabir was a long one, of nearly 28 years.

A highly respected & dedicated educator and a coordinator who will always be remembered as a ‘fighter’ to the last.

A very active participant in the school activities and initiatives, Ms. Lily always had the welfare of her students, her colleagues and school uppermost in her mind. Although she belonged to Kolkata, she died a Punjabi having integrated to the Punjabi society completely. One can recall her as a very versatile person. She missed no opportunity to regale the students with her favorite number ‘Chotti Si Asha’ or the Christmas carols or being a part of the school choir.

Bold and meticulous, always ready to go an extra mile for her students for which the Kabirians will remember her with gratitude and fondness- for the memories she left behind.

In the history of St Kabir her contribution will always be remembered for she added value to the world of St Kabir Public School in its years of progression.
