WELCOME TO THE PRIMARY SECTION AT ST KABIR PUBLIC SCHOOL

Holistic Growth through an Effective Teaching Learning Process

In the Primary Section, we understand that each child’s growth goes beyond academics. Our meticulously planned curriculum, that is a perfect amalgam of academics and activties, is designed to foster not only intellectual development but also emotional, social, and physical growth. Through engaging and purposeful activities, we empower students to explore, question, and learn with enthusiasm. Reading is a way of life for Kabirians.

Assessment for Growth

The academic session is divided into two terms. With two Formative Assessments and two Summative Assessments in Classes III to V, we ensure that students’ growth is consistently monitored and supported. Classes I and II do not have any formal assessments.

Olympiads, CARES, ASSET and Academic Excellence

Classes III and IV have the opportunity to participate in Olympiads, CARES and Asset Exams, encouraging academic excellence and healthy competition. These exams not only challenge students but also enable teachers to benchmark students’ knowledge and skills on the national level.

STEM Education: Integrating Knowledge

Our STEM programme fosters a holistic understanding of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. By integrating these subjects, students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills essential for the 21st century.

WITHOUT WALLS: Lifelong Learning Adventures

The WITHOUT WALLS programme offers a unique educational experience that goes beyond traditional subjects. Students explore topics that are beyond their textbooks and contribute to their holistic development and lifelong learning.

THOTS: Nurturing Thinking Skills

For students in junior school, THOTS (The Higher Order Thinking Skills) is an innovative programme aimed at developing essential thinking skills, processes, and life skills. This unique initiative equips students with the ability to think critically, creatively, and solve problems effectively.

Exploration through Co-Curricular Activities

Our academic calendar is enriched with a variety of co-curricular activities that nurture students’ talents and interests. From arts and sports to music and drama, these activities encourage students to discover their passions beyond the classroom.

Sports – an integral part of learning

Our students develop love for health and fitness through our comprehensive sports programme. Age-appropriate activities aimed at developing agility and neuro-muscular coordination keep the interest in sports activities alive. Regular sports periods in addition to extra sports beyond school hours evinces the priority we attach to sports in our campus.

Vibrant Weekly Assemblies

Every section presents a class assembly which fosters a sense of belonging and keen participation among students. These assemblies provide a platform for students to showcase their talents, build confidence, and strengthen their public speaking skills. Hundred percent active participation is the highlight of these assemblies.

Celebrating Creativity and Achievements

An annual ‘Field Show,’ ‘Cultural Extravaganza,’ or ‘Project Display’ allows students to showcase their creativity, teamwork, and accomplishments to their peers and parents. These events celebrate students’ talents and hard work.

Embracing Diversity through Celebrations

We believe in fostering a deep appreciation for culture and diversity. National Days and various festivals are celebrated, allowing students to learn about different cultures and traditions while promoting unity.

Learning Beyond the Classroom: Field Trips and Excursions

To enhance experiential learning, we organize field trips and excursions that provide students with real-world insights and hands-on experiences, enriching their educational journey.

At St Kabir Public School’s Primary Section, education is not just about textbooks, but also about nurturing well-rounded individuals ready to conquer challenges and embrace opportunities in the world ahead.
